Battle Ground City Clerk Phone Directory

Elizabeth Halili serves as the City Clerk and Public Records Officer for Battle Ground. The clerk's office is at Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 221. The main phone number is 360-342-5000. Fax goes to 360-342-5050. The clerk handles all public records requests except for municipal court files. If you need a general city record, start with this phone line.

On June 2, 2025, Battle Ground launched a new records platform called JustFOIA. This portal manages all requests from that date on. You can submit a request online, track it, and get files back through the system. You can also submit by fax, email, mail, or in person at the 2nd floor desk. The city follows the Washington Public Records Act under RCW Chapter 42.56. Staff must acknowledge your request within five business days and then provide the records, give a time estimate, ask for more detail, or deny the request with a reason.

The 2026 fee schedule is straightforward. Printed copies cost 15 cents per page. Scanning runs 10 cents per page. Electronic files cost 5 cents per four files. Electronic transmission is 10 cents per gigabyte. Body worn camera redaction costs $33.60 per hour, and the city may ask for a 10% deposit up front. A returned check costs $40. These fees follow state guidelines under RCW 42.56.120.

Battle Ground Police Phone Directory

The Battle Ground Police Department is at 507 SW 1st Street. The non-emergency phone number is (360) 342-5200. For emergencies, dial 9-1-1. The department is a full-service law enforcement agency. To get a copy of a police report, you submit a public records request through JustFOIA or contact the police records division directly.

The police department also offers fingerprinting at $15 per card. This does not cover immigration fingerprinting. You can schedule and pay for fingerprinting online. The records division puts out monthly activity reports. These are public and can be viewed without filing a request. If you need an older report or a specific case file, call the police records line first. Staff can tell you what is ready and what needs more time.

Note: Police reports may have parts blocked out under state law if they involve ongoing cases or protected information.

Court Phone Contacts in Battle Ground

Battle Ground Municipal Court has its own phone line and records process. The court phone is 360-342-5150. Fax is 360-342-5159. The court sits at Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW 1st Street, Suite 272. Court is in session each Thursday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with a lunch break. The court office is open Monday through Friday.

Court records do not go through JustFOIA. You must use a separate court request form. You can reach the court by email at court.info@cityofbg.org or visit the court case records page on the city site. Court records follow General Rule 31, not the Public Records Act. That means the process and fees may differ from what you see for city records. Call the court clerk to ask about wait times and costs before you submit a form.
